One of my favorite traits of God is him as a Provider.
When I was nine years old, my parents divorced and my whole life changed. My childhood before the divorce is pretty foggy, but God wasn’t a big part of it. Then, when we moved to Ohio, my mom knew she needed her church family. So, I started to learn about God, slowly. Then, after about a year my mom had a vase of roses in her room from a man. I was instantly angry. Now, I had never been one of those kids that wished my parents would reunite, I knew it was for the best, but I still didn’t want to deal with another change.
Eventually, I met the mystery man, named Greg, and still wasn’t a fan for a while. We still laugh today about the time that I threw a fit because he kept coming over for dinner every night. But, after dating for two years, my mom married him, and I came to love him along the way. I can still remember standing with them at the altar during their wedding as the Maid of Honor, and crying out of joy for the first time; very loudly I might add.
Shortly after coming to like Greg, I realized that God lined up my life (the ups and downs) in order for us to have Greg, who has been a blessing every day.
